Julia Weisenberg

Julia comes to the Jonathan Milioti Team at Compass with a unique varied background in both academia and business. Julia was born and raised in Shelter Island, the daughter of active residents in cultural and political roles in her close-knit community. She continued those values of leadership in several successful spheres: as a director in the Department of Health & Human Services in the Ammerman campus of Suffolk Community College, coordinating the Sign Language Interpretation program for undergraduates, later as full-time Lecturer of Linguistics at SUNY Stony Brook, and later on Wall St as Director of Sorenson Communications Inc, leader in telecommunications for the hearing impaired. For the last several years she has successfully built a virtual wellness business, using social media marketing and digital gym platforms, coupled with fitness teaching in the Hamptons and Shelter Island. She is the mother of three girls, and an active board member of her local school PTSA for several years. Julia holds a PhD in linguistics, national certification as an interpreter for the deaf, and AFAA certification as a fitness trainer. Her decades of care and service to specialized populations and value-driven mission as an entrepreneur make Julia an agent you'll want to have representing you. In her free time she enjoys the Catskills, teaching fitness, and being with her daughters and dog.
